Position Summary: This position requires a tCADC or CADC and will work directly in the program, with a focus on substance use referrals and intakes. This position is responsible for handing inquiries from individuals seeking treatment , scheduling screenings and conducting screenings. The Intake Specialist will complete all initial intake work, assessments and work with the clinical director in determining appropriate level of care. This individual will work on ensuring they have active insurance prior to admission as well.
Shift: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-6:00pm, Friday 8:30am-12:30pm
Job Description
- Monitor and update all insurance information to ensure accuracy for billing
- Assesses for medical necessity and authorize all appropriate services.
- Collaborate with clinical director on appropriate services needed.
- Assesses for barriers to care, provides care coordination and assistance to patients to address psycho/social, financial, and medical obstacles concerns.
- Collaborate with clinical director regarding intake assessments..
- Handle inquiries from individuals seeking treatment and treatment information.
- Conduct screenings to determine an individual's eligibility for the program.
- Assess applicants to determine the level of care and the appropriateness of the program for the individual.
- Admit client into treatment, accurately completing all required documentation, on time.
- Utilize assessment tools (including, but not limited to, ASAM, Columbia, Suicide Risk Assessment, Biopsychosocial assessment, etc. ) during the intake process.
- When identifying “red flags,” assess incoming clients carefully, and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Utilize the Client Orientation Handbook when coordinating new clients’ admission into our programs.
- Work with Peer support specialistA/RA for gaining access to the dorm.
- Work with Behavior Tech regarding belongings, what they can keep or where to store items.
- Work directly with other Elevate staff (including Clinical Director, Nurses, Technicians, etc.) to provide the highest level of care for clients.
- Conduct client urinalysis tests at admission
- Complete the initial treatment plan with the client.
- Provide referral sources when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the clinical director.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, administration preferred
- tCADC or CADC licensure REQUIRED
