Role Overview – Test Engineer II

The Test Engineer II supports engineering teams with testing and development of heavy-duty vehicles. This is a hands-on role involving shop work, equipment coordination, test planning, execution, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and assigned technical tasks
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers to prepare plans, designs, and reporting
• Work on low complexity projects under supervision
• Assist with defining testing requirements for heavy-duty vehicles and related equipment
• Recommend necessary equipment and resources for testing
• Support project estimates and scheduling
• Create and implement test plans by coordinating with engineers and technicians
• Develop fixtures and test apparatus; supervise their build
• Coordinate, monitor, and document test progress
• Recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost
• Communicate test status and results across teams
• Support TIR resolution meetings and prototype team safety discussions
• Research and implement testing related to engineering standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Regular onsite attendance required

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)
• Internship or 6 months engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment experience
