Janitorial Services Worker

Job Summary:

The Porter at Elev8 Fun is responsible for ensuring that the venue's common areas, bathrooms, lobbies, hallways, and event spaces remain clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, a passion for providing excellent customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Handles floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing.
• Conducts commercial cleaning tasks in various areas of the facility.
• Maintains cleanliness in restrooms and common areas.
• Assists with custodial duties as needed.
• Conducts residential painting tasks when required.
• Supports facility maintenance by addressing minor repairs.
• Ensures industrial cleaning standards are met in designated areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as events may require.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, ideally in an arts, entertainment, or recreational setting.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• This position may involve working in large, crowded spaces, including theaters, galleries, or recreational areas.
• Physical demands may include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying cleaning materials.
• May require some late-night or overnight shifts depending on event schedules.
