Position Overview:

Floating Leasing Consultant in Tacoma/Lakewood.

The Leasing Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the community by working directly with potential and current residents. This individual is responsible for leasing apartments, managing resident relations, and providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for helping people find their perfect home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leasing and Sales:
• Show available apartments to prospective residents, highlighting the features and benefits of the property.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of unit availability, pricing, and promotions.
• Assist prospects with the application process, including collecting required documentation and explaining lease terms.
• Follow up with prospective tenants and maintain an active lead tracking system.
• Close leasing agreements by addressing questions and concerns and encouraging timely decisions.
• Resident Relations:
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing current and prospective residents’ inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist in the move-in and move-out process, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
• Handle resident complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Administrative Duties:
• Prepare and complete lease paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospective residents and completed leases.
• Ensure the leasing office is organized and well-maintained, creating a welcoming environment for visitors.
• Assist with monthly reporting and any administrative tasks as requested by management.
• Marketing and Community Outreach:
• Support the property’s marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials and assisting with social media posts.
• Assist with planning and executing resident events and community activities.
• Engage in outreach efforts, such as local networking or visiting local businesses, to increase exposure to the community.
• Property Tours and Inspections:
• Conduct regular tours of the property, including available units, model units, and community areas.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the property management team.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service (previous property management experience preferred).
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A positive and professional demeanor with a focus on team collaboration.
• Licenses/Certifications: Leasing certification is a plus but not required (CAM, NALP, etc.).
