Position Title: Technical Services Specialist
Location: Houston, TX 77067
Reports to: Technical Services Manager
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and accurate responses to technical inquiries from all levels of the sales structure (sales team, distributors, dealers, builders/contractors, and owners).
- Responsible for collecting and organizing inquiries to generate a data driven feedback loop to expand and improve the technical publications.
- Support the continuous maintenance and expansion of the company’s technical publications.
- Support Sales and Installation Specialist in customer training and onboarding.
- Work closely with Installation Specialists and Sales to ensure customer requirements are clear, actionable, and satisfied.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant building codes and regulatory changes (IBC/IRC, FBC, CBC, CCMC, etc.) and how they impact product compliance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and how changing preferences impact technical publications and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with evaluation of regulatory landscape, market dynamics, and customer and consumer preferences to develop technical requirements of new market strategies.
- Support the continuous maintenance and expansion of the companies regulatory and code compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5-years professional experience in the building materials industry, with a preference for building envelope.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to the audience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong capacity to understand, digest, and summarize regulatory codes, technical literature, and construction procedures.
- Preferred but not required qualifications & skills:
- Spanish-English bi-lingual
- Proficient in AutoCAD LT
- Willing to travel up to 20%
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
