In this role, you will define, execute, and continuously evolve Element’s payments product strategy and platform capabilities to deliver sustainable growth, profitability, client value, and operational excellence. You will serve as a strategic leader across Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, Audit, and Compliance to ensure payment solutions are scalable, commercially viable, regulatory compliant, and aligned to enterprise objectives. You will also monitor and optimize product portfolio performance while driving product innovation, platform modernization, governance, and business performance. What You’ll Do Define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for Element’s payments platform and product portfolio. Lead portfolio prioritization and investment recommendations, balancing customer needs, commercial opportunities, operational readiness, regulatory requirements, and enterprise objectives. Own the end-to-end product enhancement lifecycle, including discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and performance measurement. Establish and maintain a multi-year product roadmap that balances innovation, operational efficiency, client experience improvements, compliance obligations, and technical modernization. Drive enhancement initiatives that improve payment capabilities, automation, scalability, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes. Support achievement of Payments business financial objectives through product portfolio management, revenue growth initiatives, cost optimization opportunities, and operational efficiencies. Ensure products and enhancements align with applicable regulatory, audit, risk management, governance, and compliance requirements. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on product strategy, roadmap priorities, market opportunities, business performance, and emerging risks. Build strong partnerships across Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, and external partners to drive alignment and execution. Present product strategies, business cases, roadmap progress, and performance outcomes to executive stakeholders and governance forums. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field. 7–10 years of progressive product management experience within payments, fintech, financial services, or related regulated industries. Demonstrated experience developing, launching, and scaling complex products and platforms in regulated environments. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving technology, operations, risk, compliance, and commercial stakeholders. Experience developing business cases, strategic roadmaps, and product investment recommendations. Strong understanding of payments ecosystems, including issuing, acquiring, embedded finance, digital payments, or related payment technologies. Preferred Qualifications MBA or other advanced business degree. Experience supporting P&L management, commercial performance initiatives, or product portfolio optimization. Experience working with external financial institutions, payment networks, fintech partners, or strategic vendors. Experience leading digital transformation or platform modernization initiatives. Location Current Location: Toronto. Our Toronto office will move to 1 Adelaide in Toronto in September 2026. The hiring base salary range for this position is $133,400 - $183,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
