CNC Programmer or CMM Programmer – Two Openings

We are seeking experienced professionals to support the manufacturing and inspection of precision aerospace components. These are full-time, direct-hire opportunities in a quality-focused aerospace environment. One opening is for a CNC Programmer specializing in Lathe and Mill-Turn machining, while the second opening is for a CMM Programmer supporting dimensional inspection and quality operations.

CNC Programmer – Lathe & Mill-Turn Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer with strong Lathe and Mill-Turn experience to create, modify, and improve programs for complex aerospace components. This role supports the machining of close-tolerance parts using advanced equipment, aerospace materials, and modern CAD/CAM systems while helping improve quality, efficiency, and production performance.

Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis lathes and mill-turn equipment.

  • Interpret aerospace blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.

  • Develop machining strategies for complex, tight-tolerance components using CAD/CAM software.

  • Select tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and work-holding solutions.

  • Program and support machining of titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other aerospace materials.

  • Support program prove-outs and First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.

  • Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve technical challenges.

  • Improve cycle times, machining processes, and equipment utilization.

  • Maintain setup sheets, tooling lists, and program revision documentation.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Ensure compliance with customer, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • 5 years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.

  • 3 years programming CNC lathes and mill-turn equipment.

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, ESPRIT, NX CAM, Fusion 360, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, tooling, and machining practices.

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.

  • Experience with multi-axis machining and complex geometries.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.

  • Experience with Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma, Siemens, or Mori Seiki controls.

  • Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.

  • Experience with SPC and process capability studies.

  • Experience machining engine, structural, landing gear, or flight-critical components.

  • Technical degree or machining/programming certification.

CMM Programmer Position Summary

We are seeking a CMM Programmer to develop, validate, and maintain inspection programs for aerospace and precision-machined components. This position works closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure parts meet customer specifications and dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, validate, document, and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS.

  • Create programs from engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications.

  • Perform online and offline programming for new and existing products.

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment.

  • Perform first article, receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

  • Analyze measurement data and investigate dimensional discrepancies.

  • Support AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.

  • Validate CMM programs against engineering requirements.

  • Determine inspection methods, sampling plans, and measurement strategies.

  • Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gages, height gages, and optical comparators.

  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.

  • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.

  • Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to improve inspection processes.

  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce inspection cycle times.

  • Provide technical support to inspectors and CMM operators.

  • Support calibration activities and customer audits.

  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

  • 3 years of CMM programming experience.

  • Hands-on PC-DMIS programming and CMM operation experience.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.

  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.

  • Experience inspecting close-tolerance machined components.

  • Knowledge of SPC and dimensional data analysis.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality systems.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience
  • Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing experience.

  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102 requirements.

  • Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Creo, or similar CAD software.

  • GD&T or quality certifications preferred.

  • ASQ certifications such as CQI or CQT are a plus.

  • Experience with automated inspection systems and advanced metrology equipment.

Work Environment

These positions are based in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment where quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Comfortable working in manufacturing, office, and inspection environments.

  • Ability to use computers, measuring equipment, and inspection systems for extended periods.

  • Must follow all PPE, safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
