Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant provides general nursing assistance to patients in a clinical setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document patient's medical history, physical assessment, review of symptoms, medications, and consent for care
- Enter patient's medical information into EMR (Electronic Medical Record)
- Take vital signs and administer medication to patients
- Discuss and explain examinations, treatments, and procedures to patients
- Schedule patient appointments as needed
- Prepare clinical areas/rooms for patients
- Ensure office is compliant with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Assist Nurse Practitioner with treatments and examinations

Our office is dedicated to changing lives by improving health and wellness NATURALLY in our community. We are seeking an assistant who is able to multitask and can handle a busy and ever-changing environment that also includes the following duties:
- greeting patients/clients with a welcoming smile and amazing hospitality
- assisting nurse practitioner with all patient care needs, notes, dictation, charting, etc
- answering phones with a smile
- collecting and applying payments
- patient scheduling
- planning events, both in-house and external
- sending and receiving important health-related emails/texts/calls
- ordering supplies, products/inventory
- cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining order and organization in the office
- occasional travel to training or weekend seminars/events
- some weekend hours required (advanced notice given)
- other duties as required
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 8:00 am - 6:15 pm (lunch 1:00-2:30)*
Tuesday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
*potential for more hours as we grow
Experience helpful but not required; we will train on all aspects of this position. Must have a positive attitude, a hospitable personality, and a willingness to learn and grow. Starting pay is $19/hr. We are seeking to fill this position ASAP.
