We are currently looking for a Full-Time PM Laundry Attendant.
The Laundry Attendant is responsible to operate the hotel's laundry facilities and ensure that an adequate supply of linens and laundry supplies are available to meet hotel demand and use. The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player. The hotel team prides themselves in upholding a high standard of professionalism and service that the guests have come to enjoy and will look to the housekeeping and laundry staff to help meet guest expectations.
Rate: $20.25/hour
Responsibilities:
The general responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Efficiently manage daily laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding of towels, bed linens, duvets, etc.
- Follow our protocols to sort and launder linens and clothing.
- Maintain an organized laundry room.
- Foster a strong sense of teamwork within the housekeeping department.
- Enhance and follow established housekeeping procedures.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Keep management informed of any essential updates. To include shortage of towels & bed linens.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry room & linen closets.
- Re-stock guest room attendants' linen carts daily.
- Respond to guest requests for additional bedding, towels and guest supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of public space & bathrooms, elevators, etc. in collaboration with Driver/Houseperson.
- Cleaning of guestrooms that are a result of late check-outs, rooms that had "DND" signs during morning shift or guests that are not staying.
- Provide assistance with incident reports as required.
- Uphold punctuality and a professional appearance.
- Prioritize safety, security, and guest courtesy.
Requirements/Skills:
- Good English skills; Spanish is a plus.
- Maintain hygiene and dress appropriately.
- Work well under supervision and follow rules.
- Communicate effectively.
- Respect diversity and work well with others.
- Familiarity with hotel procedures.
- Lift around 30 lbs when required.
- US work authorization is Required.
