Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Administrative Assistant to support a nonprofit organization, along with additional personal administrative support for the founders. This is a flexible, remote position for someone who enjoys staying organized, managing details, helping with social media, and supporting a meaningful mission.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, comfortable working independently from home, and willing to occasionally travel within Fairfield County for fundraising events or errands.
Position Details
- Remote / Work From Home
- 10–20 hours per week, with flexible hours
- For the next 4 weeks, the role will require closer to 20 hours per week to help prepare for an upcoming fundraising event
- Pay: $20–$30 per hour, based on experience
- We are looking to hire within the next 3–4 days
- Interviews will be held in person on Friday
Duties
- Manage and post on social media accounts, including Instagram and Facebook
- Create and schedule social media posts for event promotions, nonprofit updates, and announcements
- Provide administrative support for the nonprofit organization and founders
- Manage schedules, emails, and general administrative tasks
- Submit expense reports
- Light bookkeeping
- Help promote fundraising events and share event-related announcements
- Assist with fundraising event preparation and coordination
- Occasionally travel within Fairfield County for events or errands once or twice a year
- Assist with event preparation and coordination
- Help with fundraising event logistics
Experience
- Previous office management or administrative experience preferred
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Very comfortable with technology and social media
- Able to work independently from home
- Reliable transportation for occasional local travel
