ECS is seeking a AV/Video Production Specialist to work in our Washington, DC office.
The Audio-Visual (A/V) Support Technician exercises creativity in writing scripts, producing, directing and editing the videotaping of programs, and operating and understanding the engineering and technical aspects of broadcast quality video production equipment including but not limited to: VTR machine, Time base Correctors, Wave Form/Vector scope, and Editing systems. Incumbents must possess an in-depth knowledge of media production and direction, script writing, and the operation of the above-mentioned production equipment sufficient to create quality video programs. Plans and develops video programs by transforming training and other objectives into production ideas requiring the determination of format, approach, content, and level of presentation. Plans and schedules productions: cast, crew, sets, props, wardrobes, etc. Directs and assists staff to fabricate sets, props, and wardrobes, as needed, and secures permits, consents, and releases to meet the legal requirements for videotaping persons and places. Writes, produces, and directs programs using the media of slides, sound, and motion pictures.

Job Responsibilities
- Operation of video switchers for up to 8 cameras plus other video and computer sources and; full understanding of live video switched events and video lighting techniques.
- Setup, Strike and installation of AV equipment, Large screen monitors, audio equipment, video telepresence units, and other similar equipment.
- Experienced with multi-image, multiple screens, electronic based presentations.
- Audio mixing, audio amplification and enhancement, audio source assignments, routing, patching and distribution. Knowledge of microphone types, usage and placement; Experience with both wireless and hard wired microphones.
- Full understanding of all signals routing via patch panels as well as RGB, SDI, standard and digital video and audio routers.
- Operation of A/V control systems via touch screen or computer interface.
- Solid technical and maintenance skills to perform audio-visual troubleshooting and basic maintenance as well as computer skills both Windows and Macintosh.
- Experienced with the operations of video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment and systems.
- Provide conference room scheduling (electronic based) services as required.
- Basic Network patching skills and assist with Telecom related services as needed
- Utilize Microsoft 365, Zoom, Teams, media playback systems, and AV control interfaces to coordinate presentations, manage screen sharing, and maintain stable hybrid meeting environments.

Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in A/V support, event production, or related technical field.
- Proficiency with common A/V systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Q-SYS).
- Strong working knowledge of projectors, PTZ cameras, digital mixers, microphones, and video switching equipment.
- Experience supporting video conferencing platforms and hybrid meeting technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues under pressure in live event settings.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
Desired Skills
- CTS or similar A/V industry certification.
- Experience with streaming media platforms and capture tools.
- Familiarity with networked A/V systems (AV-over-IP).
- Basic understanding of IT networking concepts (VLANs, patching, cabling).
