Maintenance Technician- 1st / Weekend Shift

Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position

An employee in this position is responsible to provide preventative and repair maintenance for facilities and equipment, installation of new equipment, support process improvement as directed by the Manager, Maintenance.

Major Functions:

1.  Safety

2.  Baseline knowledge of following:

• Electrical
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics 
• Vacuum
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Carpentry
• Welding
• Painting
• Snow Removal

 3.   Preventative Maintenance

 4.   Repair maintenance (machinery and building)

 5.   New Equipment/Modifications 

• High school diploma, plus specialized training, certification. or a two-year degree
• 2-5 years' maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:  

• Works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and occasional noise.
• Requires standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
