This position will be based in Springfield, TN.
About the Role:
The EMC Technician supports Electrolux's EMC Laboratory by executing electromagnetic compatibility testing for Food Preparation appliances. Working closely with EMC Engineers, this handson role prepares test setups, operates specialized EMC equipment, collects and documents test data, and maintains laboratory infrastructure to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements. The position offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in EMC regulations, instrumentation, and testing procedures while contributing to R&D efforts within a global organization. Success in this role requires technical precision, reliability, clear communication, and strong collaboration within a laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute EMC tests in accordance with test plans and procedures provided by EMC Engineers
Operate EMC test equipment including spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, LISN, ESD guns, EFT generators, RF equipment, antennas, and oscilloscopes
Set up devices under test (DUTs), including cabling, loads, configurations, and laboratory fixtures
Collect, organize, and document test data and measurement results
Prepare preliminary test logs and support generation of test documentation
Maintain test setups, fixtures, loads, antennas, and laboratory equipment
Support calibration activities and maintain associated records and documentation
Assist with prototype troubleshooting and rootcause investigations
Assemble or modify simple prototype circuits and wiring harnesses as needed
Manage laboratory components, consumables, and tested samples
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics, or related discipline
1 - 4 years of experience in electronics, laboratory testing, or EMCrelated environments
Working knowledge of electronic measurement tools and basic EMC principles
Handson experience operating test equipment and supporting laboratory operations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting
Fluency in English required
