Under general supervision, the successful candidate will utilize computer-aided drafting and other compatible software tools to support engineering and drafting projects with a goal to develop sub-professional work knowledge and abilities by executing drafter assignments under the supervision of an experienced project engineer or project manager.

Responsibilities
Work includes drawings of general arrangements, structures, facilities, site plans, facility layouts, electrical schematics, wiring and connection requirements.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare complete drawings of structures, layouts, facilities or general arrangements, including section and detail views, and profiles in a manner to provide clear and concise representation of facilities.Preparation basis is typically from engineering drawing markups or modification of previously prepared, similar drawings.
- Regularly and consistently producing project work with accuracy and within budget and time allocation.
- Using AutoCAD/MicroStation and other software products to prepare drawings for project work.
- Working from sketches and models from verbal directions to produce drawings of expected content, detail and format in accordance with engineering and drafting standards.
- Independently resolving most problems encountered in the preparation of plans including those of intent, consistency and approach.
- Acquiring and maintaining advanced skill levels through the progression of software releases and upgrades.
- Preparing three-dimensional computer-generated drawings.
- Demonstrate the ability to use a variety of add-on or companion software programs in the preparation of civil and surveying drawings as needed to efficiently handle data translation as well as increase productivity.
- Assisting with the training and advancement of skills for other, less-experienced drafting department personnel.
