What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Electrical Automation Services?
Summary
As the Maintenance Mechanic at our Distribution Center you will report to the Operations Manager and ensure that our facility remains in operating form. Daily tasks will vary daily, but will frequently include repairs, aesthetic work or tending to the facility's machinery. You will make minor and major repairs in and around the facility on all types of equipment that can include: Dock locks, Doors, Balers, Conveyor, HVAC, Plumbing, Wrappers, and Fire Systems.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 2nd
- Hours: Monday through Thursday 7pm-4am, Friday 7pm-11pm
- Weekend availability: Required as needed
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)
- Perform advanced preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on bakery equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and control systems to ensure operational reliability
- Install, overhaul, test, and validate equipment to maintain optimal performance
- Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and document all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance system
- Coordinate with planners, supervisors, and parts personnel to ensure timely access to materials and accurate follow‑up actions
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and safety
- Comply with GMPs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements across all maintenance work
