Journeyman Electrician/Service Technician

Compensation $36.00-$34.00 per hour Depending on Experience

Electric Service of Colorado, Inc's Service Department specializes in Commercial and Industrial service as well as some residential.

We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician / Service Tech. In this role you will perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components. You will replace and repair electrical equipment and devices as required. You must maintain a deep understanding of building code regulations to check and ensure compliance with the highest standards of building design and construction. Success in this role will be demonstrated by employing effective process controls to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Interprets technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiring.
• Leads compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards.
• Checks for and deploy upgrades of electrical components.
• Documents problems and prepares reports.
• Facilitates order of needed electrical components.
• Install electrical systems.
• Supervise apprentices as needed

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant hands-on experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Journeyman in commercial and/or Industrial electrical.
• Colorado Journeyman license or the ability to obtain one within thirty days.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, and wiring schematics.
• Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety standards.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supervising crews.
• Experience executing projects as a foreman.
• Ability to manage and train apprentices.
• Ability to understand and maintain project budgets.
• Valid Drivers License.
• OSHA 30.
