Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. This position focuses on setting up, programming, and operating our CNC Vertical Mill and CNC Lathe to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will be experienced in machining, capable of creating programs from blueprints and drawings, and committed to producing accurate, quality work. Occasional welding may be required, and on-the-job training will be provided to meet AWS standards.
What You'll Do
Program CNC machines using G-code from blueprints, drawings, and part specifications
Set up and operate a CNC Vertical Mill and CNC Lathe
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and quality
Select tooling, determine machining processes, and establish workholding methods
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and routine machine adjustments
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Troubleshoot machining and production issues to maintain quality and productivity
Maintain production and quality documentation as required
Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area
Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to ensure efficient manufacturing processes
Perform occasional welding tasks as needed (training provided)
What We're Looking For
3 years of CNC machining experience preferred
Proven experience programming CNC mills and lathes using G-code
Ability to independently create CNC programs from blueprints and part drawings
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds
Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills
Experience with CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting
Basic welding experience is a plus, but not required
Willingness to learn and develop new skills through on-the-job training
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
