SEO/GEO Senior Associate - Content Specialist

Electric Orange Creative is a growing boutique digital agency located in Brooklyn, NY, and currently working hybrid out of our Greenpoint loft office. We are one of a dozen Shopify official marketing partners worldwide.

We are seeking a sharp, digitally savvy associate to help manage SEO/GEO responsibilities with an expertise in content and content strategy. Basic experience with SEO and digital marketing using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Shopify, Moz, SEMrush, etc. required. Previous client management experience is also required, and candidates should have exceptional interpersonal skills and exceed at multitasking and organizing work around deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute SEO and GEO strategy across a portfolio of ecommerce, SAAS, and other clients
• Serve as a strategic partner to project managers to ensure SEO and GEO initiatives are scoped, prioritized, and delivered successfully
• Prepare agendas for client meetings and ensure follow ups are executed
• Support the growth of interns and entry-level team members
• Execute advanced keyword research initiatives and own and complete metadata optimizations at scale
• Own the development of forward-looking client content strategies, translating SEO and GEO insights into actionable plans and delivering on those plans through targeted content optimization efforts
• Provide SEO/GEO reporting and translate performance data into clear strategic insights and forward-looking recommendations
• Identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and experimentation across accounts
• Support forecasting and performance planning where applicable

Education & Experience

• 2–3 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or multi-client environment
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, analytics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, Google Merchant Center)
• Advanced copywriting skills with the ability to shape messaging, structure content, and optimize for both users and search
• Deep understanding of SEO fundamentals with strong interest in GEO and AI-driven search
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment 

Position Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience in project management or relevant role
• Intermediate knowledge of SEO and at least a familiarity with omnichannel factors like Paid, Email and Social
• Ability to handle overlapping responsibilities and manage time effectively
• Experience working in Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO tools like SEMrush
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of User Experience and technical SEO Requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a deep understanding of the English language (spelling, grammar, and vocabulary)
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Familiarity with Google Suite
• Experience working with CMS platforms like WordPress and Shopify 
• Comfortable working with basic HTML
