Content Quality Lead (SEO & GEO Content)

As search evolves from traditional Google results to AI-generated answers, content quality is a critical driver of organic visibility and long-term brand trust. HelloFresh is seeking a Content Quality Lead to define, own, and scale how high-quality content is created, evaluated, and published across SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies.

This role will sit within the Organic Discovery organization (SEO AI Search) and work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Culinary, Analytics, and Brand teams to ensure HelloFresh content meets the highest standards for trust, usefulness, and search visibility – at scale.

You will…

• Define what “high-quality content” means at HelloFresh across recipes, collections, and editorial content, translating SEO, E-E-A-T, and AI-search requirements into clear standards and guardrails.
• Own global content quality frameworks, including:
• Definition of done / acceptance criteria
• Quality scoring rubrics
• Thin-content and duplication thresholds
• Serve as the quality authority for scaled and AI-assisted content production, ensuring velocity never comes at the expense of trust or performance.
• Partner with SEO and Generative AI Engineering to:
• Operationalize content scoring
• Inform automated QA and content evaluation tooling
• Establish safe, repeatable AI publishing workflows
• Act as a strategic reviewer and escalation point for complex quality decisions, edge cases, and policy questions.
• Collaborate with Product, Culinary, and Localization teams to prevent low-quality content at creation time, not just fix it after launch.
• Use data (GSC, engagement metrics, indexing behavior, AI visibility signals) to evolve quality standards based on real-world performance.
• Create documentation, playbooks, and enablement materials so quality standards are understood and applied consistently across teams and markets.

• Comfortable operating at the intersection of content, search, and AI.
• Data-driven and analytical, using performance metrics and search signals to guide content quality decisions and continuously refine standards.
• Highly collaborative and confident working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical partners.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong bias toward long-term quality and sustainability over short-term wins.
  
  

At a minimum, you have…

• 5 years of experience in content quality, SEO, editorial strategy, or content governance roles.
• Deep familiarity with Google Search quality concepts (E-E-A-T, helpful content, indexing behavior).
• Experience evaluating and improving content at scale (hundreds or thousands of pages).
• Exposure to AI-assisted content workflows, including human-in-the-loop review or QA.
• Strong written communication skills and experience creating clear standards and documentation.
• Comfort working with performance data to inform qualitative decisions.

New York Pay Range

$121,500—$136,700 USD
