Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in Job Fairs and recruitment opportunities
- Support the scheduling of drug screens, schedule DOT physicals, background checks, Clearinghouse checks and ordering of PPE for new hires and existing employees.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for the random drug screening program on an ongoing basis
- Creating, sorting, and reviewing new employee personnel file as applicants are onboard with upload to HRIS
- Support employee benefits review and enrollment as needed
- Data entry with accuracy of new employee data in the applicable HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) or employee system
- Maintain records of employee disciplinary notices, absences, incident reports and other notifications from the operations system in the employee file and upload new documents to the HRIS and employee file
- Special Projects - Assist HR Manager with special projects, implementation of new processes and benefits open enrollment, various HR audits
- Process employee terminations with accuracy and in a timely manner for designated work locations
- Process employee Substance Abuse Program documentation as needed
- Process employee pay increase/decrease, job classification updates, transfers documentation and upload documentation
- Process employment verifications, unemployment requests, medical orders and other administrative requests
- Field phone calls and emails regarding handling basic Human Resource inquiries while directing more complex items to the HR Team
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently with minimal
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and
- Consists of sedentary Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures or viewing a computer screen.
- High School or better is required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least one year of human resource onboarding and termination experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
