What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Account Executive - Elections position at Electask?
Electask builds the software election officials actually run their elections on. Four years in, we've gone
from two customers to more than 90, shipped multiple products, and become one of the only vendors in
this market actually building something new instead and innovative.
We're a four-person team, and you'd be our first hire dedicated to bringing on new counties - which means you're not joining a team, you're building one. You'll work directly alongside the CEO: finding the
counties, meeting with them, showing them what changes, and closing.
Location: Remote, US-based. Significant travel required. Our CEO is based in Washington, DC.
What you'll do
• Own the full path from first conversation to signed county, alongside the CEO - prospecting, cold
email, phone outreach, demos, and closing. We’ll provide the latest and greatest in technology to
make your job easy.
• Travel to 20 election-official conferences a year - Lake Tahoe, San Diego, South Padre Island,
Amarillo, and other places most people couldn't point to on a map. Peak season is January–March
and May–August, and it's genuinely heavy.
• Sit across the table from county-level decision-makers and show them, concretely, what changes
in their office when they switch to Electask. This isn't a slide-deck pitch - you need to understand
how their day actually works.
• Help build the go-to-market motion knowing that whatever you set up now is what the next few
hires inherit.
What we're looking for
• Genuine respect for the mission. Electask is a mission driven organization. Election officials are
underfunded, understaffed, and under enormous pressure - you need to be someone they trust
enough to pick up the phone for, not someone working an angle.
• Someone who can grow in their role as the business grows. We are looking at this as someone
who can, long term, completely own the revenue side of the business.
• 1 year in an outreach-related role, with real numbers to point to.
• Comfortable making 100 calls a week and traveling extensively during peak conference season.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
