What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at Electask?
Electask builds operational software for election officials - the people who actually run American elections. In four years, we've gone from one customer to more than 90, shipped multiple products, and become one of the few genuinely innovative vendors in a market that needs them.
We're a four-person team, and this is our first sales hire. You'll build the sales function alongside the CEO - sourcing deals from day one, and shaping the playbook, systems, and eventual team as we grow.
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 base, ~$155,000 all-in expected comp, realistic upside above $200,000 for top performance.
Location: Remote, US-based. Significant travel required. Our CEO is based in Washington, DC.
What you'll do
- Own outbound sales end-to-end alongside the CEO: prospecting, cold email, phone outreach, demos, and closing.
- Travel to 20 industry conferences a year — Lake Tahoe, San Diego, South Padre Island, Amarillo, and other places most people couldn't find on a map. Peak travel: January– March and May–August.
- Sell to county-level decision-makers and show them concretely how Electask changes their day-to-day operations.
- Help design our go-to-market motion and lay the foundation for a real sales team.
What we're looking for
- 1 year of B2B sales experience; B2G a plus.
- Comfortable making 100 calls a week and traveling extensively during peak conference season.
- Builder's instincts — you want ambiguity, ownership, and the chance to shape a function, not step into a finished one.
- Genuine respect for the mission. Election officials work under enormous pressure with limited resources; you need to be someone they want to pick up the phone for.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
