In May of 2022, North Park Group acquired Elec-Tron with the plans to increase investment in the business and significantly grow the operations. Investments will include new equipment and product line expansion to scale the business. The last 3 years have been very successful at Elec-Tron.

Elec-Tron Background:


Elec-Tron of Wichita, Kansas has been proudly manufacturing power termination, electrical connectors, and wiring harness solutions in the USA since 1946. Founded as Zimco Metal Products in April 1946, the company operated primarily as a contract manufacturer, producing miscellaneous metal stampings and assemblies. In 1954, the company changed its focus to producing primarily electrical switches, wiring harnesses, and terminal boards. As Elec-Tron’s reputation for quality and timely delivery grew, the company began serving most major appliance manufacturers in the U.S. and abroad.


Elec-Tron is now a supplier to major Aerospace, Appliance, Automotive, Electrical Distribution, HVAC, and Military OEMs. Inhouse component and assembly manufacturing, drive the production and delivery of over 10,000,000 products annually to more than 300 unique customers. All components are UL and CSA recognized.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION


We are therefore looking for a President who is strong on the commercial and sales side of operating a business but has experience running a manufacturing organization. The business is historically order takers without a sales force or marketing. To be successful, we need to generate new incremental revenue through product line expansion, increased capabilities, improved sales process and better customer relationships. We are looking for someone who has experience running a full business (sales through operations) with a heavy focus on commercial and people management. We want a person that NPG can build around and grow with over time. A company this size is a perfect place for a young, hard charging recent MBA graduate with previous work experience looking to truly operate a business.


RESPONSIBILITIES


·      Effective leadership of your teams to enable them to perform to the standards required by the business, setting clear performance objectives and measurements.

·      Develops, leads and implements the business strategies, annual budgets and forecasts in order to achieve the financial objectives of the business.

·      Brings new and innovative ideas to the business, looks for opportunities to expand the business, and creates goodwill in the marketplace.

·      Analyzes performance and ensures the identified recommendations are implemented in order to achieve forecasted profit targets.

·      Develops and implements a sales strategy and drives the sales team to make a strong impact on the North American market.

·      Develops and implements a set of business KPI's in line with the company's business strategy.

·      Undertakes regular communications and other activities with your teams to foster a culture of employee engagement at all levels of the business.

·      Responsible for exceptional customer service delivery at all levels.

·      Leads the sales team in negotiations of new customers and development of key accounts.

·      Leads the implementation of business improvements and other organizational initiatives and effectively manages resistance to change where it arises.

·      P&L understanding and management for the business

·      Pro-actively leads and promotes people development specifically in areas such as talent management, project management, commercial awareness, technical development and people management and leadership skills.

·      Ensures that the company meets all its legal requirements.

·      Ensures that the products produced and sold to customers are of high quality in accordance with the company's quality standards.


Qualifications:


Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, from an accredited university plus five (5) to ten (10) years of management experience of a similarly sized/type of manufacturing company, in a role with full P&L responsibility. We prefer someone with an MBA who has a strong background with market and business development.

·      Strong business skills and experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management.

·      Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
