Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Farm Equipment Parts Manager to oversee the parts department of our dealership. This role is crucial in ensuring that our inventory is well-managed, supplier relationships are maintained, and customer service remains a top priority. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in supply chain management, enabling them to effectively manage the procurement and distribution of farm machinery parts.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control, pricing, and order management.
- Oversee supply chain management processes to ensure timely procurement and delivery of farm machinery parts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers for effective sourcing and negotiation of parts.
- Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Implement demand planning strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their parts needs and addressing inquiries.
Experience
- Proven experience in farm machinery service or repair with a strong understanding of farm machinery diagnostics.
- Background in supply chain management, procurement management, or logistics within the farm machinery industry.
- Proficiency in using order management systems and AS400 software for efficient operations.
- Experience in demand planning and pricing strategies related to farm machinery parts.
- Mechanical knowledge is helpful.
- Previous dealership experience is desirable. This position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency are achieved.
