What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Server position at Elderberry Provisions?
Overview:
We are looking for a cheerful, experienced counter server to join our team. You will be responsible for making sandwiches, serving customers from our prepared food cases and bakery, and taking catering orders. You will be expected to advise on servings, pairings, and reheating instructions, all in pursuit of providing exceptional customer service. You will also perform front of house duties, including deli maintenance (slicing apples, cheeses and meats, warming bread, etc), inventory stock of saleable and paper goods and beverages, and keep the space clean and tidy.

Duties
- Serve costumers across their entire journey, from the case, sandwich counter and bakery
- Prepare sandwiches from our menu
- Maintain the deli, including slicing deli meats and cheese, and preparing veggies like apples and lettuce.
- Fulfill catering orders
- Ring out orders
- Receive catering orders
- Inform customers about dishes, including ingredients, portions, and pairings
- Maintain the front of house, including stocking items, inventory, and cleaning duties
Experience
- Proven experience in food related roles
- Strong background in customer service
- Proficiency in POS systems
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
