Protective Services Operations Manager – Hybrid Schedule – Hiring Bonus!
Seeking a full time (37.5 hours/week) Protective Services Operations Manager. The Protective Services Operations Manager is an exempt position that supports the Protective Services Program Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the Protective Services Department, while serving as a member of the agency’s management team. Job responsibilities include supervising Protective Services Supervisors and other supervisory and/or direct care staff as requiredEnsuring that the Adult Protective Services (APS) Department operates in full compliance with agency standards and the regulations set forth by the Executive Office of Aging and Independence (AGE), specifically those outlined in 651 CMR 5.0. This includes adhering to policies and procedures related to the identification, investigation, and provision of services to older adults determined to be experiencing a reportable condition, including abuse, neglect, and/or financial exploitation. In conjunction with the PS Program Manager spearheads PS Department hiring/onboarding activities. Acts as a liaison with pertinent staff at AGE, within ESWA, and with the agency’s collaborative partners as it relates to protective services issues/concerns. Provides case consultation to APS Supervisors and staff to ensure that AGE regulations, definitions, and Program Instructions are being applied accurately. In conjunction with the PS Program Manager and APS Supervisors is responsible for provision and tracking of staff initial and ongoing training. Conducts or directs outreach to educate mandated reporters, community service providers, and other individual service providers on Adult Protective Services’. Presents at Board of Directors and sub-committee meetings, as needed and as requested.
Qualifications/Abilities:
1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
2. Field of Degree in: Social work, psychology, human development, nursing, sociology, criminal justice, public health, or gerontology required.
3. At least 3 years of experience in counseling, case work, or case management providing protective service or crisis intervention services required.
4. At least 2 years of supervisory experience required.
5. At least 1 year of management experience preferred.
6. Use of a reliable vehicle including active vehicle insurance with a current license to drive required.
7. Demonstrates strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and team skills.
8. Ability to multitask, keep accurate records, have a strong attention to detail, document clearly, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing, all within a fast-paced environment.
9. Ability to take initiative and work independently.
10. Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Share Point, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
11. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds and have the ability to climb stairs.
A hiring bonus will be awarded in 2 parts, half at 120 Days, and half at 1 year of active employment. The bonus for this position is $1,000.

Non-negotiable salary of: $65,013 to $66,027 annually
