As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in restoring patients' function, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Restore patient function, alleviate pain, and prevent disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
- Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results.
- Determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Help patients accomplish treatment plans by administering manual exercises, giving massages, and using equipment as necessary.
- Evaluate and record patient progress, modifying treatment plans, and trying new treatments if required.
- Evaluate the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and observing patient's progress; and recommending adjustments and modifications.
- Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records.
- Instruct patients in proper in-home exercises and therapies.
- Educate patients and their families about the recovery process and the challenges they will face.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Minimum of one year of physical therapy experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Pleasant bedside manner and motivation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Service-oriented and instructing and teaching skills
