ELBERT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
NURSING SUPERVISOR 7p-7a
Responsible for providing administrative and clinical leadership to nursing units during assigned shift. Senior member of nurse leadership team in the absence of Chief Nursing Officer. Responsible to observe, detect and report compliance variances through chain of command. Performs any other duties as required or assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care
- Assist with treatment and medication administration
- Participate in weekly meetings
- Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and other departments
- Investigate all incident reports and follow-up
- Take on-call hours on weekends and holidays as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years of clinical experience as Charge Nurse, or Supervisor, preferred.
- Current Georgia State Registered Nurse licensure.
- Must possess a valid BLS, ACLS, PALS certification.
- Demonstrates leadership ability
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to nursing practice and patient care.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Must be able to stand 6-8 hours
-Must be able to bend, squat, reach, lift
SHIFT
-PM, 7:00 pm -7 am, full-time
