We're looking for an ambitious, education-focused business development professional who thrives on new customer acquisition, complex sales cycles, and building trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to help build what comes next.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Drive ELB's revenue growth across the U.S. Education market, with a strong focus (approximately 70%) on new customer acquisition.
- Develop and execute strategic Education market development plans across State Departments of Education, K-12 Districts, Charter Schools, Independent Schools, Community Colleges, and Higher Education institutions.
- Build executive-level relationships with Superintendents, CIOs, CBOs, and other key decision-makers across K-12, Higher Education, and State Education agencies.
- Identify, qualify, and close opportunities spanning audio-visual integration, unified communications, collaboration technologies, digital learning environments, and managed services.
- Develop and present compelling value propositions, commercial proposals, and tender/RFP responses.
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline of at least 4x annual revenue budget through proactive prospecting and strategic relationship development.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation through contract execution and project handover.
- Maintain accurate CRM discipline, forecasting, and pipeline reporting.
- Expand managed services, support agreements, and recurring revenue across the education portfolio.
- Represent ELB at Education conferences, industry forums, and manufacturer partner events.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8 years' experience in business development, strategic sales, or solution sales within technology, audio-visual, IT, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success acquiring new customers and consistently exceeding revenue and gross margin targets.
- Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and procurement teams.
- Experience selling into the Education sector (K-12, Higher Ed, or State Education agencies) strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes, cooperative purchasing contracts, and state procurement vehicles a plus.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and CRM/pipeline management experience.
- The ability to engage confidently with executive-level education stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in AI, emerging technologies, and how they're shaping the future of education.
- High levels of accountability, initiative, and self-motivation with the ability to operate autonomously.
- Current U.S. Driver License and willingness to travel nationally.
What We Offer
- Base Salary: US$75,000 – $100,000
