Our client is seeking a motivated sales professional to drive growth in an assigned territory within the industrial power transmission sector. This role focuses on building new business relationships in addition to expanding an established client base.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of B2B experience and a track record of performing over quota
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; history of sales success and client relationships
- Solid Technical & Business Acumen
- Background in gearing, reducers, or power transmission industry preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) or automation controls is a plus.
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or related field preferred. Technical education/background required to be successful in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Review and update territory sales plans; set and achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Identify, prospect, and convert target accounts into customers.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to new and existing customers.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts by introducing new product lines and solutions.
- Expand territory by onboarding new OEM accounts.
- Partner with distributors to develop new and existing end-user business.
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions per established guidelines.
- Collaborate with customer service and internal teams on account strategies and communication.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries to ensure high satisfaction.
- Stay current on products, industry trends, and competitors through training, meetings, and publications.
- Demonstrate product installation, use, and maintenance to customers as needed.
- Quantify and communicate value (benefits and cost savings) to customers.
- Evaluate sales potential of new and existing accounts through research and analysis.
- Analyze customer and competitor strengths/weaknesses to inform strategy.
- Monitor market trends and recommend new product opportunities.
