Elaine Sterling Institute (ESI) is a premier educational institution offering programs in esthetics, massage therapy, cosmetology, barbering, nail care, allied health, and medical assisting. We are dedicated to helping students gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed to build successful careers in the beauty, wellness, and healthcare industries.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Career Services & Externship Coach to support students across our Dunwoody and Lenox campuses. This role serves as a key connection between students, graduates, employers, and externship sites, helping students transition from education to employment.
What You'll Do
Career Services & Job Placement
- Lead job placement efforts for students and graduates
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, including salons, spas, barbershops, wellness centers, medical offices, and industry partners
- Coach students on resume development, interviewing skills, and professional readiness
- Match students and graduates with employment opportunities aligned with their goals
- Track and report completion, placement, and licensure outcomes
Externship Coordination
- Develop and maintain externship partnerships for the Medical Assistant program
- Coordinate student placements into externships
- Serve as the primary liaison between students and externship site managers
- Monitor student progress and support successful externship completion
- Collect, track, and document externship hours accurately in the student information system (SIS)
Student Support & Collaboration
- Partner with Admissions, Education, and Student Services teams to support students throughout their educational journey
- Act as a trusted resource for students and graduates pursuing career opportunities
- Foster a student-centered culture focused on achievement, growth, and employment success
