We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier/Customer Service professional to join our retail team! Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos and merchandising inquiries
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash, credit, and mobile payments while ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Manage cashier duties such as applying discounts, and completing sales transactions efficiently
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as needed and ensuring a smooth flow at the register
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support stock management by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and assisting with inventory counts
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage bilingual customers effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
