Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our facilities team as a part-time custodian. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our middle school building, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners
- Mop and sweep floors
- Dust and polish surfaces
- Restock supplies of paper products and soap
- Perform other custodial duties as needed
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written language
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and materials
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work around middle school children and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous custodial experience
- Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons.
