Job Purpose
Under the general direction of the Power Plant Manager, Plant Maintenance & Engineering, the position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling maintenance activities at Newman Power Plant Station. The role supports safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations by developing job scopes, preparing work packages, coordinating resources, and managing short-term and long-term maintenance schedules. This position serves as a key liaison between operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure work is executed efficiently, regulatory requirements are met, and plant equipment reliability is maintained.
Education And/Or Special Training
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience

Education And/Or Special Training

Experience And Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of combustion and steam turbine maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of scheduling software such as Microsoft Project. Microsoft Excel, Knowledge of MAXIMO CMMS software.
- Understanding of basic power generation system equipment functions, construction and maintenance practices and terminologies.
- Knowledge of developing project budgets and schedules.
- Ability to develop statements of work, review bid packages, detailed work plans,
- Ability to contact vendors and contractors and request bid and/or quotes for parts and/or services.
- Knowledge of contract T’s & C’s and change orders.
- Knowledge of activity-based estimating and costing, budget tracking and cost controls.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, and the public.
- Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates preventive, corrective, and outage maintenance activities.
- Develops job scopes, work packages, labor estimates, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinates resources, materials, contractors, and equipment needed to execute maintenance work.
- Tracks work order progress, labor utilization, costs, and schedule performance.
- Maintains maintenance records, equipment histories, and technical documentation.
- Prepares maintenance reports and analyzes equipment reliability and performance data.
- Supports safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations through effective maintenance planning and work management.
