Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service orders, accurately estimating repair costs using auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, mechanical issues, and repair procedures such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, alignments, oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and collision repairs
- Upsell additional services or repairs based on customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity
- Coordinate with the service team to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and repair histories
Experience
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with dealership background preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and collision repair
- Demonstrated ability in auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanor
- Experience in auto body repair or collision repair is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and automobile sales experience is advantageous
