Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items are hygienic and ready for use.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including handling ingredients and organizing supplies.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes while adhering to proper ergonomic practices.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning dish racks, sinks, and kitchen surfaces.
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by adhering to kitchen health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is valued.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and food safety management practices.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and manual handling tasks throughout shifts.
