Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to proper food handling and safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating and garnishing to ensure dishes meet presentation standards.
- Buss tables efficiently by clearing plates, utensils, and glassware to maintain a clean dining environment.
- Support the kitchen team with manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while following safe lifting practices.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers using clear, professional language to coordinate timely food delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness in food running areas by performing routine cleaning duties like wiping down surfaces and disposing of waste properly.
- Provide excellent in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, responding to their needs promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Familiarity with banquet service or culinary environments is advantageous.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional guest services in a fast-paced setting.
