Position Summary
The QC Manager, reporting directly to the QC Director, is responsible for leading the quality control & assurance functions for the plant they are assigned to. The QC Manager will also engage regularly with the on-site management team and site employees to understand concerns, bring forward recommendations, and implement/manage programs to enhance quality objectives and EKHO’s reputation for quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all plant-level QA/QC activities, ensuring compliance with company quality plans, DOT requirements, NPCA, ACI, and applicable state and industry standards.
- Maintain required certifications, inspections, audits, and documentation to support regulatory and customer compliance.
- Oversee the Quality Control Plan, ensuring it remains current and effectively implemented.
- Manage NCR processes, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Review project specifications and customer requirements to ensure quality expectations are clearly communicated and met.
- Coordinate third-party testing, equipment calibration, and inspection schedules.
- Analyze quality and production data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Partner with Production teams to reduce defects, rework, and downtime.
- Lead, train, and develop QC staff, ensuring proper scheduling, performance management, and adherence to safety and PPE requirements.
- Prepare and deliver quality training as needed.
- Ensure availability and proper use of QC tools, equipment, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Plant Manager and People & Culture on staffing, training, and employee development initiatives.
- Support plant safety initiatives and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of quality, manufacturing, or supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or precast environment preferred.
- ACI Level 1 Field Concrete Technician certification required.
- NPCA Production and Quality School certification required or ability to obtain.
- Strong working knowledge of concrete materials, testing, and quality systems.
- Experience with audits, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems preferred.
- Lean / Continuous Improvement experience a plus.
Working Environment
This position operates within a manufacturing facility. The environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, with exposure to dust, heavy machinery, moving equipment, and varying noise levels (moderate to high). The role may require standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting materials or tools (up to 50 lbs.). Proper use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, steel-toed/metatarsal boots, and high-visibility clothing is required at all times. Work may take place indoors and outdoors, subject to seasonal weather conditions.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
