Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Dietary team, including Cooks and Dietary Aides
- Manage the Dietary Department budget
- Complete inventory and ordering based on each month’s menu
- Review dietary restrictions of residents and plan creative and nutritious meals
- Complete department interviews and job offers
- Oversee staff training based on company policies and expectations
- Schedule Dietary Department staff and ensure proper coverage
- Ensure the proper care, use, and cleaning of kitchen equipment
Requirements
- Certified Dietary Manager certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Supervisory experience, preferably in the food service industry
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain
- Reliable transportation
- Availability to work some weekend and evening shifts as needed
