Role Description
The Vice President of Sales – Machine Tools will lead the commercial strategy and execution for Ekaras’s growing portfolio of milling, boring, turning, and advanced manufacturing solutions. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strategic relationships with key customers across aerospace, defense, energy, and general industrial sectors.
The VP of Sales will develop and execute go-to-market strategies, manage key accounts, and build a high-performing sales organization. The position requires close collaboration with applications engineering, service, and marketing teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with customer requirements.
This leader will also identify new market opportunities, recruit and mentor regional sales talent, support distributor relationships, and play a key role in positioning Ekaras’s AI-driven manufacturing solutions and global machine tool partnerships.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Clawson, Michigan, with travel required to support customer engagement and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading sales in the machine tool, capital equipment, or manufacturing technology sector
- Strong understanding of milling, boring, turning, or large-format machining solutions
- Demonstrated success selling into aerospace, defense, automotive, or heavy industry customers
- Experience managing direct sales teams, distributors, and key account strategies
- Track record of achieving revenue growth and building scalable sales organizations
- Ability to work cross-functionally with applications engineering and technical teams
- Strong executive-level communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and team development
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
