What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Benefits Account Manager Associate position at EKA Planning Services, Inc?
We are a well-established insurance brokerage & consulting firm in Huntington NY. This an IN PERSON office position.
Our primary focus is on group benefits and other insurance related products.
We are looking for bright, hardworking individuals looking to start/continue working within the insurance industry; experience is preferred.
Potential applicants will be trained to service an assigned book of business with minimal producer or management involvement. You will be working alongside a team of Account Managers with the goal of developing independence as you gain more experience.
You will be trained to assist in the marketing/quoting/implementation process of new and renewal accounts for group benefits. You will also manage the day to day client calls related to service, plan requirements and benefit questions.
Ideally, an applicant would be knowledgeable with group health & ancillary benefits.
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Required
· 2 years experience working in a client facing office setting
- Microsoft Excel- formula and spreadsheet applications
- Formatting professional letters/emails
- PowerPoint
- Adobe
- Salesforce a plus
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to handle multiple heavy/complex tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Proven customer service/relationship building skills
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Life & Health License Preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Core Responsibilities:
- ·Spreadsheeting medical and ancillary proposals on Excel
- Preparing and tracking RFPs (including census preparation)
- Handling new business applications & submissions on all lines of coverage
- Processing BOR letters
- Preparing Benefit Booklets/Kits for Open Enrollment Meetings
- Processing member adds/terms/changes with all carriers
- Reviewing Open Enrollment elections for changes/submission
- Building out benefits in online HRIS systems for new plan years
- Resolving billing & claim issues with carriers
- Updating CRM with client/member/carrier information
Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Medical, dental, vision, FSA and 401K benefits available. Salary dependent upon experience.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
