What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Assembler position at EJ Fabrication?
OVERVIEW:
The Welder Assembler is responsible for daily welding operations with the fabrication facility, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
EJ Fabrication’s current production consists of hand welding a variety of products. We are currently in the process of purchasing a robotic welder and looking to add robotic welded assemblies to our capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, assemble, fit and weld fabricated parts from LT8 and Flat Laser together into final assemblies
- Load/unload materials, monitor machine performance, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders to produce parts that meet exact specifications.
- Inspect finished products using precision tools (calipers, gauges) and record quality data.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Hand fabrication when adjustments are needed
- Assist in inventory management and process improvements to boost productivity.
- Train and mentor co-workers on the safe and efficient use of all aspects of the daily shop activities that are fundamental to the success of the company. Develop a cross trained culture of disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Previous certifications of D1.1 3 or 4G either current or expired
- Ability to perform light to medium maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Open minded approach and “hands on” focus.
- Possess a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Forklift experience
Pay: $23.36 - $37.57 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
