What are the responsibilities and job description for the Programmer Planner position at EJ Fabrication?
OVERVIEW:
The Programmer Planner is responsible for daily production planning activities for the facility and programming for the LT8 and LVD Flat Laser ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
EJ Fabrication’s production runs will be manufactured through a BLM LT 8 tube laser and LVD flatbed laser with some welding capabilities. EJ Fabrication is currently actively expanding operations to include press break operations and robotic welded assemblies to its capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Scheduling and providing documentation for the shop floor for fabrication and assembly.
- Support the shop in file organization of MTRs, filing pack slips
- Program files provided by customers for the LT8 and LVD. Make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders to produce parts that meet exact specifications.
- Inspect finished products using precision tools (calipers, gauges) and record quality data.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Assist in inventory management and process improvements to boost productivity.
- Train and mentor co-workers on the safe and efficient use of all aspects of the daily shop activities that are fundamental to the success of the company. Develop a cross trained culture of disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Highly organized
- Previous modeling or programming experience
-Competent in Excel, comfortable using a computer for daily tasks and able to troubleshooting any computer issues that may arise.
- Open minded approach and “hands on” focus.
- Possess a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
