Senior Oracle Database Administrator
Nashville, Tennessee (Hybrid)
We are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with strong experience supporting enterprise Oracle environments across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Oracle databases across OCI, AWS, and on-prem environments
- Support Oracle versions from 11g through 23c
- Administer RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Multitenant (CDB/PDB) environments
- Monitor and optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and related tools
- Implement and manage backup/recovery strategies using RMAN
- Support disaster recovery and high availability solutions
- Perform database patching, upgrades, security hardening, and encryption (TDE)
- Automate database operations using Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, application, and data teams
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Participate in on-call production support and incident management
Required Skills
- Strong Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments
- Oracle 11g through 23c administration
- RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- AWS-hosted Oracle environments (EC2 and/or RDS)
- SQL and PL/SQL
- Linux Administration (RHEL or Oracle Linux)
- Shell scripting
- Database performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
