Here's the deal: We're a moving company. We pick up people's stuff and carry it from one place to a different place.

Sounds simple enough… but it turns out that to be REALLY GOOD movers (the only kind worth being, in our opinion) we need REALLY GOOD people for our South Austin branch. People like you. ;)

FIRST, A WORD ABOUT "HOURLY PAY" IN THE MOVING INDUSTRY

Some moving companies advertise $25/hr but only pay you for "billable" time — meaning the hours you spend driving to jobs, loading trucks, and waiting between moves don't count.

Quick math: If you work an 8-hour day but only 6 hours are "billable," that "$25/hour" is actually $18.75. And it gets worse when overtime kicks in.

At Einstein, you're paid from clock-in to clock-out. Every. Single. Hour.

No Asterisks, No Funny Math. When We Tell You What You'll Earn, We Mean It. Now Here's What That Actually Looks Like

YOUR MONEY (THE FUN PART)

Your total pay includes base hourly rate ($18) performance bonuses tips. Here's what that adds up to:

Copilots (During Training): $24–$26.50/hr total. Top performers earn more.

Leads (Post-Training): $26.50–$31.25/hr total. Leads move through 4 promotion tiers as they grow — your pay grows with you. Top performers earn more.

Both roles also get overtime rates and a $5/hr on-call bonus.

THE REST OF THE PACKAGE

  • W2 Status (Not 1099): Full employee benefits including Workers' Comp, overtime protections, and the warm fuzzy feeling of being a real employee PLUS Einstein covers half of employment taxes (as a 1099 you are responsible for 100% of the taxes)

What a Typical Day Looks Like

You'll show up, meet your crew, grab your truck, and head to the job. Some days you're loading up a studio apartment in 2 hours. Other days you're wrapping a 5-bedroom house with a massive book collection and sculpture garden. You'll problem-solve on the fly, work with your team, interact with customers, and yeah — you'll sweat. A lot. But you'll also laugh, build real friendships, and go home knowing you actually helped someone through one of the most stressful days of their life. It's more rewarding than you'd expect.

YOUR MUST-HAVES

  • Ability to lift, carry, push and / or pull heavy objects and materials (up to 125 pounds overhead, 200 pounds independently, and 500 pounds in coordination with other team members) frequently throughout an 8 hour day
  • 21 years of being alive on this planet (so we can add you to our insurance)
  • At least two years of personal driving experience with an acceptable driving record (no major violations in last 3 years)
  • The ability to pass a criminal background check, physical and drug screen
  • Excellent customer service skills, interest in learning new things, and motivation to be genuinely helpful
  • Availability to work 3 days a week, even better if you can work Thursday - Sunday (our busiest days = more hours & tips)
  • Your own reliable transportation (a car, motorcycle, or scooter — not a bike or a bus pass)

YOUR NICE-TO-HAVES

  • College degree or current enrollment (a bonus, definitely not required)
  • Moving experience (more than just "exited the womb once")
  • A friendly pet (so we can pet them at our next company picnic)
