JOB TITLE: Solderer
DEPARTMENT: Prototype
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform hand soldering operations and assembly of electronic components under a microscope by pinching, grasping, and holding a soldering iron and wire solder
- Hold boards/panels under a microscope to inspect parts
- Use pliers, cutters, and small hand tools for various steps in board assembly
- Complete required production documentation
- Use of computer for basic data entry
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Self-motivated as well as the ability to work well with others
- Good vision and finger dexterity
- General knowledge of electronic components
- Strong attention to detail
- Interpretation of drawings specifications and instructions
- Good communication skills
- General computer skills
- Willingness to cross-train into different positions as needed
- Ability to work under a microscope for up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to work in a seated position for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background check
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements as outlined in this position description
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior soldering experience preferred, but not required
- Trained in IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies preferred, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
