VA Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC) – Little Rock, Arkansas

Schedule: Part-Time (20–24 hours per week)
Expected Schedule: Approximately 3 days per week, up to 40 weeks per year 


We are seeking role players to support law enforcement training exercises at the VA Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC) in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role provides an opportunity to contribute directly to the development and readiness of law enforcement personnel.


This position is ideal for recently retired military personnel, law enforcement officers, or individuals with prior tactical or security experience who enjoy working in a dynamic training environment.


Position Overview:

Role players will participate in realistic training scenarios designed to prepare students for real-world law enforcement situations. Participants will portray civilians, witnesses, suspects, and other characters during training exercises.


Role Player Criteria and Requirements- Role players may be required to participate in scenarios including, but not limited to: 

  • Patrol operations and simulated calls for service
  • Traffic stop scenarios
  • Active shooter response training 
  • Witness interviews and suspect interrogations
  • Force-on-force training using non-lethal marking ammunition
  • Follow detailed scenario scripts and instructions without altering or expanding the scope of the exercise.
  • Maintain professionalism and consistency while portraying assigned roles.
  • Be physically capable of working in a training environment with no limitations that would prevent participation.
  • Possess familiarity with basic weapons safety and handling procedures.
  • Be able to stand, kneel, or lie prone for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to be restrained (e.g., zip-tied) for portions of training scenarios.
  • Be comfortable with trainees conducting frisking and search procedures while restrained.
  • Be willing to participate in force-on-force scenarios involving non-lethal marking ammunition (e.g., Simunitions, UTM, or paintball systems) while wearing required protective equipment.
  • Be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard.

Requirements

Be 18 years or older.

Be a US Citizen and can provide proof.

Have a valid driver's license.

Role Player with Military/Law Enforcement experience/background preferred.

Salary : $17 - $20
