Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles, including those with manual transmissions and
driver certifications. - Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
- Deliver packages and goods to customers across designated routes, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their deliveries, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management or stock organization when not on delivery routes.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially with route driving and heavy lifting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices for box trucks and other large vehicles.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or route maps efficiently.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, moving items, and standing for extended periods during deliveries.
- Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery in every interaction.
