We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles, to deliver products to customers and clients.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices or packing lists before departure and upon arrival.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of deliveries made.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management or moving stock as needed.
Requirements
- Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role involving route driving.
- Experience operating box trucks or commercial vehicles with manual transmission is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy loads frequently and perform physical tasks such as moving boxes or pallets.
- Warehouse experience, including familiarity with forklifts and pallet jacks, is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
