About the Role
We are representing an investment bank seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join their New York City office. This individual will support deal execution, financial analysis, and strategic advisory engagements across multiple industries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with at least 6 months of relevant, full-time deal experience:
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
- Assist in preparing client presentations, pitchbooks, offering memoranda, and other transaction-related materials.
- Conduct industry and company-specific research to support deal teams and client initiatives.
- Support the execution of M&A, debt, and equity transactions from initial pitch through closing.
- Analyze financial statements and assess key business drivers, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure smooth transaction processes.
- Contribute to idea generation, business development efforts, and market updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of investment banking experience (bulge bracket, middle market, or boutique).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field with ideal graduation of May 2025 or December 2025
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance concepts and valuation methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a high-pressure setting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting M&A or capital markets transactions.
- Familiarity with financial databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, FactSet, or Refinitiv.
- Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance. Ideal experience within an M&A coverage group such as technology, industrials or healthcare.
